US Special Envoy to Ukraine Kurt Volker will visit Ukraine on October 27. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin claimed this as Interfax-Ukraine reported.
‘Kurt will pay a visit to Ukraine tomorrow’, Klimkin said.
The minister also reminded that he met Volker in Berlin and the meeting was dedicated to the united attitude on the mandate of the UN peacekeeping mission in Donbas. ‘We have a clear united attitude’, Klimkin specified.
According to the foreign minister, this attitude lies in the impossibility of the legalization of the militants in Donbas. Moreover, the security measures should be established in Donbas and then the international contingent can control the whole territory, including the uncontrolled part of the border.
Also, the effective cooperation with the OSCE SMM and the armament should be provided by the mandate of the peacekeeping mission.
Kurt Volker met Counselor of the President of Russia Vladislav Surkov in Belgrade on October 7. They discussed the mechanism of the Ukrainian-Russian conflict.
