The delegation from the UK will visit Ukraine for familiarization with the procedures at the border and order of documents’ issuance, as Interfax-Ukraine reported citing UK Ambassador to Ukraine Melinda Simmons.
“In my opinion, the most positive moment of the visit of the Ukrainian delegation in London is that the Interior Minister of Ukraine met the Secretary of State for the Home Department of Britain. It is really good and it is a big step forward. They talked about the issues of the security of borders and issuance of passports and agreed that the United Kingdom will send to Ukraine the officials and they will familiarize themselves with the procedures at the border and order of issuance of the documents. I expect that this talk will continue for a while,” Simmons said.
As we reported, British experts will arrive in Ukraine in the near future in order to assess the Ukrainian system of issuing biometric passports.
As we reported earlier, Ukraine's partners from the European Union assured that nothing threatened the visa-free regime and that Ukrainian citizens would again be able to travel to EU countries as soon as the epidemic situation allowed.
