DPR military parade in occupied Donetsk

A ‘military parade’ and the ‘Undead Regiment’ march took place in the militant-held Donetsk. The local press reported that on Tuesday, May 9.

Over 50 military vehicles – tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and artillery systems – were involved in the parade.

Aleksandr Zakharchenko, the leader of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, led the column of the march’s participants; those who followed him carried portraits of the deceased militant leaders Givi and Motorola.

According to President Petro Poroshenko, such military parades are 'merely parodies, which, however, will be another evidence of Russia's military presence in Donbas.'
