The Verkhovna Rada will meet in an extraordinary meeting at the request of President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday, March 4. The website of the parliament reported that on February 28.
"According to the decree of the head of the Verkhovna Rada of February 28, 2020, the meeting is convened in connection with the demand of the President of Ukraine to convene an extraordinary plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada of the ninth convocation and in accordance with part 8 of article 19 of the Verkhovna Rada’s rules," the report says.
It is noted that an extraordinary plenary meeting of the parliament is convened at 4 p.m. on March 4, 2020.
The Verkhovna Rada’s apparatus was instructed to ensure the preparation and holding of an extraordinary plenary meeting and inform the MPs about the issues that are planned to be considered at it.
As the Office of the President specified, Zelensky requested to include questions about the Cabinet of Ministers and the consideration of several draft laws on the agenda of the meeting.
In addition, the President asked for a report on the activities of law enforcement agencies.
As we reported before, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky created an interim working group on healthcare system reform and approved its composition. The corresponding decree No. 55/2020 was signed by the head of state on February 21.
