The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has received a draft resolution №4228 which suggests establishing a National Headquarters for Combating Biological Threats, including coronavirus. The relevant project was registered by the parliament today, 112 Ukraine TV channel reports.

The document contains many important points:

to create an anti-virus headquarters headed by the president; to conduct mass testing; to re-profile hospitals into departments for the treatment of coronavirus; to increase the capacity of laboratories.

The draft resolution proposes to create the required number of mobile teams, according to the regional distribution, in order to collect biological material from patients at the place of residence and transport it to the laboratory.

The establishment of a single all-Ukrainian multi-channel telephone line for Ukrainians with symptoms or coronavirus disease for free testing and emergency care is also envisaged.

The incumbent president, Volodymyr Zelensky, is expected to head it. 

As we reported earlier, Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko stated that a full lockdown would be imposed only if nothing else could be done.
