A draft resolution № 3809 on the date of local elections was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. It is suggested to hold them on October 25, 2020. This was reported on the parliament’s website.
The text of the resolution is yet to be published. The document was submitted for consideration.
One of the authors of the resolution is MP Alina Zahoruiko - Deputy Chairman of the parliamentary Committee on State Building, Local Governance, Regional and Urban Development.
As we reported earlier, on June 18, the Ukrainian parliament supported draft law No.3612 "On People's Rule", filed by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to the bill, what was agreed on during the referendum may be changed via the nationwide referendum - not sooner than three years since it was passed. No state authority should approve the referendum's results.
