Verkhovna Rada officially ends fourth session of IX convocation

The Verkhovna Rada has officially ended the fourth session of its ninth convocation. The online broadcast was conducted by 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"I declare the fourth session of the Verkhovna Rada of the ninth convocation closed," said Dmytro Razumkov, Verkhovna Rada Speaker.

During this session, the Rada approved many resonant projects, including democracy through an all-Ukrainian referendum, restoration of the penalty for false declaration, and extension of the law about the special status of Donbas for another year.

Besides that, the parliament also approved candidacies for the posts of Education Minister and Minister of Agrarian policy, respectively.

The next session will begin on February 2.

As we reported earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky extended the visa-free travel regime for the citizens of the United Kingdom until January 30, 2022.

"To extend the visa-free regime of entry to Ukraine and transit through the territory of Ukraine for citizens of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, if their stay in Ukraine does not exceed 90 days within 180 days, until January 30, 2022," reads the text of the presidential decree.
