On Monday, November 2, the Budget Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine considered the draft State Budget for 2021. This was announced by first deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance Yaroslav Zheleznyak in his Telegram channel.
"The Budget Committee finally adopted the text of the budget proposals at its meeting. Now the coalition needs to get 226+ votes twice on Thursday, and the budget - 2021 will be adopted in the first reading .... or not adopted," the deputy wrote.
As we reported earlier, on September 14, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved and submitted a draft State Budget for 2021 to the Verkhovna Rada.
According to Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko, the draft state budget is realistic and balanced as well as based on the macroeconomic forecast adopted by the government in July this year.
"This is a budget of opportunities for economic development and support for our citizens and businesses in the context of 'restarting' the economy after the impact of the coronavirus pandemic," the official stated.
