Verkhovna Rada Chairman hails decision of US Senate to expand sanctions against Russia

97 of 100 Senators supported the decree

Andriy Parubiy, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine hailed the decision of the United States Senate to expand the sanctions against Russia. The press service of the Ukrainian Parliament reported this.

‘I want to thank all Senators who supported this decree that is important for Ukraine and the whole free world. The sanctions implemented by the President of the US are confirmed by Senate as the Decree. Moreover, the sanctions are expanded on the financial and energetic spheres. Also, this decree provides the allocation of 250 million of dollars to fight against Russian deconstructive influence’, Parubiy commented.

The US Senate supported the decree that includes the sanctions against Russia on June 14.  97 of 100 Senators supported the decree.

Andriy Parubiy was present in the Senate during the consideration of the decree. He also held a meeting with Robert Portman, the Senator and the co-author of the law.
