Verkhovna Rada allows foreign troops to participate in military drills in Ukraine in 2017

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a presidential bill №5636 on admitting units of armed forces of other states on the territory of Ukraine in 2017 to participate in multinational military drills. 236 People’s Deputies supported the corresponding document.

As stated in the explanatory note to the bill, the Ministry of Defense developed this document to allow the admission of the armed forces of other states on the territory of Ukraine in the current year to participate in a multinational military exercises. In addition, the bill defines the total number, type and quantity of arms, military equipment, length of stay and place of distribution for the period of the drills.
