Viacheslav Shtuchnyi, the Chief of the Verkhovna Rada Apparatus, has announced his resignation. An MP of Servant of the People party Oleksandr Kachura reported it on his Telegram channel.
"Today Viacheslav Shtuchnyi wrote a letter of resignation from the post of Chief of Staff of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine," Kachura said.
The MP considers Shtuchnyi's decision wise and considered. In his statement, Verkhovna Rada's Chief of Staff noted that his decision to resign was related to an appointment to another public post.
As we reported earlier, the Verkhovna Rada has nominated Kyrylo Shevchenko for the post of head of the National Bank of Ukraine.
"In accordance with paragraph 18 of paragraph 1 of Article 85 of the Constitution of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides: To appoint Shevchenko Kyrylo to the post of Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine," the text of the decision says.
Shevchenko has been the head of the board of Ukrgasbank since May 2015. Prior to that, he held the post of the first deputy and executive duties of the head of the board.
