The Venice Commission can offer its variants of the solution to the conflict between Ukraine and Hungary. Jens Stoltenberg, the Secretary General of NATO claimed this at the press conference as Ukrainian News reported.
He claimed that the Venice Commission has a number of the points and recommendation the implementation of which will allow to settle the conflict appeared around the law 'On education'.
'There are the offers from the Venice Commission, I welcome them and urge Ukraine to more carefully consider these recommendations as there is the possible solution to the problem between Ukraine and Hungary', Stoltenberg emphasized.
Also, he reported that he discussed this issue with the representatives of the sides of the conflict: Petro Poroshenko, the President of Ukraine and Viktor Orban, the Prime Minister of Hungary and urge them to arrive to the coordinated decision and find the balance between the rights of the minorities and learning of the state language.
In his turn, he guarantees that NATO will continue to cooperate with Ukraine and provide the necessary support political and practical.
As we reported the session of the Ukraine-NATO commission that should take place on February 14-15 was blocked by Hungary. Hungary claimed about its intention to block the meeting in the mid of January when Péter Szijjártó Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary claimed that the blocking will continue until Kyiv fulfills the demands of Hungary toward the education law.
