Oles Buzyna's books are surreptitiously banned in Ukraine, although he was a sincere patriot and a truthful journalist. This was stated by his mother Valentyna Buzyna at a press conference of the Charity Foundation for Protection of Freedom of Speech.

"Do you know that Oles' books are not published? They are tacitly prohibited. You probably also know who he is in journalism, that his books were most in-demand. And I am not exaggerating. But now these books are not available. This is the freedom of speech we have. And I keep asking myself: why is it so, what is the matter? I don't know a greater patriot than Oles, I do not know whom else to name ... Read, find his books - what he wrote, it's all true, there are links to archival references everywhere, he hasn't imagined anything, there is no fiction ... He is truthful person," she said.

Valentyna Buzyna also urged not to believe the myths created around Oles Buzyna.

"Therefore, I want, first of all, that you, journalists, do not believe the myths around Oles ... He was quick-tempered, but quickly calmed down. And if he knew that he was mistaken somewhere, he always apologized ... Therefore, I beg you not to believe the myths that have been created. And these myths were created in order to kill him. And now I do not even know now why his books are not published - are they afraid of him dead? " she noted.
