Former Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko has been assigned to the post of Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom. This is stated in the presidential decree №287/2020 of July 20, promulgated by his press service.
"To appoint Vadym Volodymyrovych Prystaiko Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland," the document reads.
Before that, Ukraine was represented in London by diplomat Natalia Halibarenko, whose dismissal decision was announced by Zelensky on the same day.
"To dismiss Natalia Mykolayivna Halibarenko from the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) in combination," text of the decree №286/2020 reads.
As we reported earlier, on July 16, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appointed Oleh Urusky as the Vice Prime Minister - Minister for Strategic Branches of Ukraine's Industry.
