The new US law on sanctions against Russia emphasizes that in order for the USA to lift sanctions Russia must stop interfering in democratic processes in other countries, including the U.S. elections. This was reported by the press service of U.S. Congress.
"Not later than 45 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, and every 90 days thereafter, the Secretary of State and the Director of National Intelligence, shall jointly submit to the appropriate congressional committees," the law states.
The Government of Russian Federation should not participate or knowingly promote actions that may interfere in the democracies of other countries. Including the election in the United States.
"The measures consist of an asset freeze and travel restrictions. They currently apply to 170 persons and 44 entities. The relevant information and statement of reasons for the listing of these persons and entities have been updated as necessary.
