U.S. toughen sanctions against North Korea

The U.S. government introduced tougher sanctions against the North Korea, Reuters reported with the reference to the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Under the new restrictions, the American banks are prohibited to open accounts in the interests of North Korean banks. Besides, tougher financial audit will be performed to reveal organizations acing in the DPRK’s interests.

Previously, the U.S. intelligence found out that despite the acting sanctions, the DPRK still has much access to financial assets allowing their government to create mass destruction weapons.
