US to announce on new sanctions against Russia within 30 days

New US sanctions against Russia are planned to be introduced in the near future. This was announced by the head of the US Treasury Department Stephen Mnuchin February 27, Bloomberg correspondent Saleha Mohsin reported on Twitter.

“Mnuchin on Russia sanctions: “You can expect sanctions will be coming in the next 30 days. We are enforcing all the existing sanctions and putting more on place,' the message says.

As it was reported earlier the U.S. Treasury will consider the possibility of imposing sanctions on 13 Russians, against whom the Justice Ministry earlier pressed charges in the case of interference in the presidential election of 2016. This was stated by the head of the U.S. Treasury Steven Mnuchin.

Earlier, State Department spokesman Heather Neuert did not exclude the possibility of imposing sanctions against 13 Russian citizens.

In the framework of the investigation of Russia meddling in the U.S. presidential election in 2016, the U.S. has accused 13 Russian citizens.

The statement accuses Internet Research Agency also known as Russian “troll factory”. There are 13 people on the list who are believed to have aided the organization in spreading propaganda: Mikhail Bystrov, Mikhail Burchik, Aleksandra Krylova, Anna Bogacheva, Sergey Polozov, Maria Bovda, Robert Bovda, Dzheyknuh Aslanov, Vadim Podkopaev, Gleb Vasilchenko, Irina Kaverzina, and Vladimir Venkov, and Evgeniy Prigozhyn.
