Washington is ready to apply force against North Korea, but the U.S. is eager to settle things by means of diplomacy. James Mattis, the U.S. Secretary of Defense said this as quoted by The Washington Times.
'Do I have military options? Of course, I do. That’s my responsibility, to have those. And we work very closely with allies to ensure that this is not unilateral either … and of course there’s a military solution,' Mattis said when meeting with senior leaders in the technology sector.
The U.S. official once again stressed that the White House intends to stick to diplomacy when figuring out contradictions with Pyongyang.
