U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo came to Kyiv on a working visit. According to him, U.S. support for Ukraine is "unwavering". He also told what would be discussed with the Ukrainian government. Pompeo wrote about it on his Twitter page.
“Good to be in Kyiv today. U.S. support for Ukraine is unwavering, and I am intent on underscoring this as I meet with Ukrainian government leaders to discuss ways we can advance our strategic partnership and reinforce Ukraine's position as a free and democratic state,” U.S. Secretary of State stated.
As we reported earlier, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) designated eight individuals and one entity in response to Russia’s continued aggression toward Ukraine and attempted occupation of Crimea.
“Treasury’s action, taken in close coordination with our international allies and partners, reiterates our unwavering support for restoring free and fair democratic political processes in Crimea,” Secretary Steven T. Mnuchin said.
