The U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will visit several European countries on May 5-9 including Germany where he intends to discuss Ukraine with Angela Merkel, as Morgan Ortagus, the Spokesperson of the establishment, said.
“On May 7, he will arrive in Berlin, where he will meet with Chancellor Angela Merkel and Foreign Minister Maas to discuss issues of mutual concern, such as Ukraine, Russia, China, Syria, and the Western Balkans,” the message reads.
On May 6, Pompeo will arrive in Rovaniemi, Finland, to participate in the Eleventh Ministerial Meeting of the Arctic Council.
“On May 8, he will travel to London. There he will meet with Prime Minister Theresa May and Foreign Secretary Hunt to discuss shared global priorities. He will also give a speech on the U.S.‑UK Special Relationship,” Ortagus informed.
On May 9, Pompeo will visit Nuuk, Greenland, to meet with Prime Minister Kim Kielsen, Danish Foreign Minister Anders Samuelsen, and Greenlandic Foreign Minister Ane Lone Bagger.
“They will discuss shared priorities in the Arctic and opportunities for expanded engagement with Greenland. He will also visit Kangerlussuaq to meet members of the New York Air National Guard who provide vital support for international Arctic research,” the message reads.'
