US, Russia communication line on incidents prevention is active, - Kremlin

The communication line between Russia and the US on the prevention of the incidents is active and engaged by both sides. Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson of Russian president claimed this as Interfax reported.

‘This line exists and it is active’, Peskov said, answering a question whether the military of Russia and the US use the communication to avoid losses in the case of the U.S. attack at Syria.

Also, the spokesperson noted that the line is engaged by both sides.

Peskov emphasized that Kremlin considers necessary to avoid steps that can increase tension in Syria.

‘We think that it is extremely important to avoid any steps that can increase tension in Syria. We think that it will extremely destructively influence the process of the Syrian crisis settlement’, he said.

According to Peskov, Kremlin follows the statements of Washington on the possible missile attacks at Syria.

‘Russia carefully watches the proper statements of Washington’, he said.

Also, according to Peskov, Putin does not plan the phone talk with Trump on Syria issue.

‘There is no phone talk with U.S. President Trump in the schedule of the president yet. This issue was not raised or initiated between Moscow and Washington’.

On April 11, U.S. President Donald Trump announced about a coming missile attack in Syria and urged Russia to be prepared.

In its turn, Russia’s Foreign Ministry claimed that the missiles should aim the ‘terrorists’. The General Staff of Russia recommended the US and its allies to restore Syrian Raqqa instead of threats.
