U.S. plans news sanctions against Russia to come 'within weeks'

More U.S. sanctions against the Russian Federation may come up in the next few weeks. Dan Coats, the Director of the U.S. National Intelligence said that as quoted by CNS News.

"I do believe what we've done has not (been) enough," DNI Dan Coats told the Senate Armed Services Committee. "Sanctions are under consideration, and the Secretary of Treasury has indicated, I think as early as next week, he'll be listing some of those sanctions', the outlet wrote.

Coats said that some of the sanctions might be announced 'within up to the next week'. He added that Russia is likely to continue using propaganda, social networks and other means of influence to add fuel to the political controversies in the U.S.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin also expressed confidence that the government may proceed on the issue 'within the next few weeks'.
