The U.S. military assistance has been boosting the combat capacity of Ukraine's military in Donbas. Defense Minister Andriy Taran said so during the press briefing with Lloyd Austin, the US Secretary of Defense.
"The U.S. assistance increases our opportunities. Our system of communication on the frontline is based on the American communication devices, decryption defense systems... it lets us fulfill our tasks and keep our conversations in secret, far away from the Russian interception devices", Taran said.
He also added that the American assistance considerably increases Ukraine's combat capacity on the sea, because the Americans passed Ukraine Island-class boats. Later, Mark VI ships will be delivered as well.
It's the second batch of assitance that the American partners provided for the needs of Ukraine's Armed Forces. The first batch, which arrived on October 10 included medical equipment, high precision weaponry, ammunition and radars.
The Ukrainian side expects the arrival of the third batch of US military aid in the near future.
