National Security Adviser of President Trump John Bolton called the International Criminal Court (ICC) in Hague dangerous and irresponsible as The New York Times reported.
"Theoretically ICC prosecutes the perpetrators of the most fragrant atrocities for their crimes, makes fair solution toward the victims and constrain the future abuses. In fact, however, the court is ineffective and irresponsible," Bolton claimed.
He said that Washington rejects any decision of the court on the criminal prosecution of the American soldiers and officers of the intelligence service for the possible crimes against detainees in Afghanistan.
According to Bolton, the investigation of the military crimes in Afghanistan is "absolutely ungrounded and illegal".
"We will ban its judges and prosecutors from entering the United States. We will sanction their funds in the U.S. financial system, and we will prosecute them in the U.S. criminal system," he claimed.
Bolton also added that the U.S. will do the same against any company or state, which helps the court in the investigation against Americans.
Earlier Russian military stated that two U.S. F-15 fighter jets attacked Syria’s Deir al-Zor province with phosphorus bombs. The U.S. denied it.
On September 8, the U.S. was intended to increase its military contingent in Germany by 1500 people as U.S. Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell claimed.
