The US administration considers it necessary to sign a new charter of strategic partnership with Ukraine in November this year. This was announced by the representative of the US State Department Ned Price, the press service of the Ministry of Defense reports.
“We need to update the charter to reflect the challenges of the 21st century,” he said.
Price also recalled that on November 10, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken will meet with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba. It was then that the parties plan to sign a new charter.
On November 10, a meeting of the Ukraine-US Strategic Partnership Commission will take place in Washington. The agenda of the commission meeting, in particular, will include issues of Ukraine's defense, strengthening energy security, attracting American investments to Ukraine, and jointly combating cyber threats and climate change.
