U.S. intelligence director: We made it clear on Russia’s interference in American election

Dan Coats, director of National intelligence of the US commented the meeting of Trump and Putin, claiming that the intelligence has made clear on the interference of Russia in the American election as CNN reported.

The role of the Intelligence Community is to provide the best information and fact-based assessments possible for the President and policymakers. We have been clear in our assessments of Russian meddling in the 2016 election and their ongoing, pervasive efforts to undermine our democracy, and we will continue to provide unvarnished and objective intelligence in support of our national security,” he said.

Reportedly, leaders of the USA and Russia met at the presidential palace in Helsinki on July 16. Putin claimed that he had regularly had conversations with Trump over the last months via a telephone and at the international events; however, it is time to clearly talk about the bilateral relations and the main problems in the world.

Trump claimed that together with the Russian leader they were going to discuss trade, commerce and military issues related to nuclear capabilities. ‘Our countries have a chance to significantly better the relations,’ he said.
