The United States imposed sanctions against 10 criminal bosses from Russia and the countries of the former USSR, as well as against two companies. This was announced on December 22 by the US Ministry of Finance.

In the list of those who came under sanctions, in addition to names, nicknames are also indicated. Under the restrictive measures were Yuri Pichugin (Pichuga), Ruben Tatulian (Robson), Alimzhan Tokhtakhunov (Taiwanchik), Vladimir Tyurin (Tyurik), Zakhary Kalashov (Shakro Molodoy), Vasily Khristoforov (Voskres), Kamchibek Kolbaev (Kamchi Bishkek), Lasha Shushanashvili (Lasha Rustavsky), Vladislav Leontiev (Vadik Bely) and Gafur Rakhimov.

Sanctions was also introduced against companies Spa Hotel Vesna and Novyi Vek Media (both companies belong to Tatulian).

The Americans were banned from doing business with these individuals and companies. Persons were banned from entering the US, and their assets in the US were frozen.
