U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that the House would introduce and vote on a war powers resolution to limit U.S. President Donald Trump’s military actions regarding Iran. Reuters reported that.

“This resolution is similar to the resolution introduced by Senator Tim Kaine in the Senate,” Pelosi stated.

She also added that it "reasserts Congress’s long-established oversight responsibilities by mandating that if no further Congressional action is taken, the Administration’s military hostilities with regard to Iran cease within 30 days."

As we reported earlier, Iran announced a complete withdrawal from the nuclear deal that was concluded between the Iranian authorities and six intermediary countries in 2015.

Thus, Iran will not longer follow any restrictions imposed by the nuclear deal.

Such a decision was made after a U.S. airstrike killed a top Iranian general in Baghdad.

Iran insisted in a state television broadcast it remained open to negotiations with European partners, who so far have been unable to offer Tehran a way to sell its crude oil abroad despite U.S. sanctions.
