The U.S. House of Representatives has voted for the bill on defense budget in 2021. The document offers to impose sanctions against the Nord Stream II and Turkish stream pipelines. This is mentioned on the website of the House of Representatives.

The sum of the budget makes USD 740.5 billion. 295 Congress members voted 'yes', and 125 opposed it.

The document demands that Donald Trump's administration boost the acting sanctions against Russian pipelines.

The sanctions are applied to all construction works and the companies that provide underrating and insurance services for the vessels that participate in the works. The restrictions also concern companies that provide services for technologies upgrade.

Earlier, U.S. Secretary of the State Mike Pompeo warned participants in the Nord Stream II project about the opportunity to apply CAATSA law against them. On the other hand, EU top diplomat Josep Borrel stood against this initiative.
