Donald Trump, the US President signed a law that bans the use of the software of the Kaspersky Lab at the governmental system as Reuters reported.
This step was grounded by the concerns that the Russian software was used by the Russian special services for the espionage.
The ban to use the software of the Kaspersky Lab is a part of the legislation on the defense policy and it is issued by both civilian and military networks.
Earlier it was reported that the US Senate of the Congress approved the norm that bans the American federal departments to use the software of the Kaspersky Lab. This amendment was made to the draft law on the budget of the Pentagon for 2018 financial year and was supported by 89 votes. Only 8 senators stood against it. Then the House of Representatives agreed on this measure and it was submitted for the signing of the US president and now it comes into force.
As we reported the international organization of the criminal police (Interpol) and Kaspersky Lab signed the agreement on the cooperation in the sphere of the fight against cybercrimes. It is reported that the Russian company agreed to share the information on the cyber-threats.
