The US Embassy in Ukraine praised the efforts of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and his team to ensure the disengagement of forces and equipment in the settlement of Zolote on the demarcation line in Donbas. This was stated in a statement of US diplomats on the Facebook page of the embassy.
"We welcome the completion of withdrawal of forces and hardware at Zolote and commend President Zelenskyy and his team for their efforts to resolve the conflict in eastern Ukraine in a manner that restores and respects Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity," the diplomats said.
However, the US Embassy reminded the Russian Federation of the necessity to fully implement the Minsk agreements and called on Moscow to withdraw all its forces from eastern Ukraine.
As we reported earlier, Minister of Defense of Ukraine Andrii Zagorodniuk, stated that the last shelling in Petrivske, where the next disengagement of forces and equipment should take place, was on October 30 and therefore the date of the disengagement is going to be reviewed. Zagorodniuk said this at a press conference.
"There was a shelling (in Petrivske, - ed.) And therefore we are expecting the review. Because there must be seven days of silence after the shelling," Zagorodniuk said.
