U.S. drone performs reconnaissance flights over Crimea, Kerch Strait and Kuban

RQ-4 Global Hawk took off from Sigonella airfield in Sicily and flew along the southwestern coastline of the Russian-occupied peninsula

A U.S. Air Force drone performed a number of reconnaissance flights over the occupied Crimea, Kerch Strait and Kuban (southern Russia). Interfax news agency reported this on Monday morning.

'RQ-4 Global Hawk performed a number of flights at the distance of about 35 kilometers off the coast in the area of Sevastopol, 45 kilometers off the entrance to the Kerch Strait and 40 kilometers off the coast of Kuban near Novorossiysk. The drone flew from the western edge of Crimea along its southwestern and southern coasts to Krasnodar Krai', reads the message. 

P-8A Poseidon, the anti-submarine patrol aircraft joined the drone in the reconnaissance flight. The aircraft approached the airspace over the occupied Sevastopol and Novorossiysk.
