The U.S. does not plant to impose new sanctions against Russia. John Bolton, the National Security Advisor of the United States, claimed this statement as Interfax-Ukraine reported.
“The U.S. does not consider the imposing of the additional sanctions against Russia at the moment,” Bolton noted.
According to him, the last American sanctions against Russia were imposed four months ago due to the Skripals’ case.
“In practice, the U.S. imposed the additional sanctions during six months. There are imposed or lifted depending on the actions of the country. At the moment, we do not consider the possibility of the additional sanctions against Russia,” Bolton added.
On September 25, the U.S. Federal Register released the document, which introduces sanctions against twelve Russian companies, which act against the U.S. national interests. The paper contains 18 pages.
Earlier Donald Trump put his signature on the decree about the increased sanctions pressure against Russia - for the ongoing aggression in Ukraine. The document enhances the sanction mode, yet it does not impose any additional limitations.
