US destroyer approaches Russian sea base in Syria, - media

Donald Cook Destroyer of United States has set off from Larnaka port in Cyprus and to the Syrian port Tartus where Russian sea base is located. This was reported by Hurriyet agency.

According to the agency, the destroyer is 100 km away from Syrian port. It is noted that the ship is equipped with 60 Tomahawk-type missiles.

At the same time, it is noted that Russian unmanned aerial vehicle four times flew over the military ship at a low altitude.

As it was reported earlier, United States Permanent Representative to the UN, Nikki Haley, at an emergency meeting of the Security Council, accused Russia of using chemical weapons in Syria, including during a recent chemical attack in the Syrian city of Douma.

She also said that there are soldiers of Iran and Russia in Syria, and Russia's authorities undoubtedly sponsor the regime of Bashar al-Assad.
