The U.S does not support a separate candidate, it supports the entire Ukrainian nation, as the U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch said during her speech at the Ukrainian leadership academy, Voice of America reports.
"We support the Ukrainian nation. Out goals are our priorities," she said.
She stressed that "democratic Ukraine with a thriving economy is a strong partner for the U.S."
"The only option Russia offers is kleptocracy. It wants to divide Ukraine in exchange for peace, to use the control over the energy resources as a tool to isolate the country, to manipulate you and keep with a system based on corruption. You know what this system is: golden toilets and depressions of those who stand against power abuse. You have refused this system, and you have a chance to confirm your choice again," the Ambassador said.
Central Election Commission of Ukraine closed all polling station in Russia, particularly, Moscow, Rostov-on-Don, Saint Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk.
