The United States of America will now participate in discussions on the settlement of conflict in Donbas and the return of Crimea. This was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olha Stefanishyna on the air of Savik Shuster's Freedom of Speech show, RBC-Ukraine reports.
“I cannot disclose the details of the proposals. But I can confirm that the United States sees its key role in resolving the conflict in Donbas and the return of Crimea. We hope that in the coming months there will be a number of visits, there will be a discussion at the level of security issues", noted Stefanishyna.
According to her, the United States will participate in the discussion of the issues of achieving peace in Donbas and the return of Crimea, not only in the Normandy negotiations, but also in wider formats.
Earlier the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak said that the United States is ready to do everything to help Ukraine end the war in Donbas and ensure sustainable security.
On September 1, in Washington, in the Oval Office of the White House, a meeting was held between US President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
During the talks, Zelensky conveyed to his American counterpart Joe Biden proposals on the format for the US participation in negotiations on a peaceful settlement of Donbas conflict.
