Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin met the Foreign Ministers of Argentina Jorge Marselo Faurie and Germany Sigmar Gabriel at the sidelines of the UNGA in New York as press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported.
Klimkin and Jorge Marselo Faurie discussed the bilateral relations, particularly the possible visit of President Poroshenko to Argentina and the next session of the International inter-governmental Ukrainian-Argentinian Commission on Trade and Economy.
‘Pavko Klimkin positively noted the renewal of the practice of the holding of the bilateral consultation between the Foreign Ministries of Ukraine and Argentina. The Ministers exchanged the opinions on the ways of the activation of the trade and economy cooperation, particularly in energy sphere’, the message said.
Klimkin and his German colleague discussed the mobilization of the joint efforts on the settlement of the Donbas Conflict, provision of the fulfillment of the Minsk Agreements by Russia and the initiative of Ukraine to deploy the UN peacekeeping mission in Donbas.
‘Sigmar Gabriel noted that mandate of such operation should not be limited only to the protection of the OSCE SMM workers but should include the whole territory of occupied Donbas’, the press service added.
Earlier, Klimkin and Romanian Foreign Minister discussed new Ukrainian ‘Law on Education’.
