Victoria Nuland, Under Secretary of the US Department of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, will pay a three-day visit to Russia, where she will hold a number of meetings and discuss issues that are topical for the two states and the world. This was announced on Friday, October 8, by the press service of the State Department.
"Under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland will travel to Moscow, Russia on October 11 to meet with senior officials and other interlocutors to discuss a range of bilateral, regional, and global issues," the statement said.
Further, Nuland is scheduled to visit Lebanon and the UK. So, on October 14, the diplomat will visit Beirut, where he will meet with representatives of civil society and the country's authorities to discuss economic reforms and elections in 2022.
The next day, the US Under Secretary of State will leave for London. In the British capital, Nuland is reported to "meet with senior officials on a range of global issues."
Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba on August 21 held a telephone conversation with Victoria Nuland.
