United Nations urges DPRK to return to dialogue regarding denuclearization of Korean peninsula and considers it necessary to double diplomatic efforts to de-escalate further tension. This was reported by Stephane Dujarric, the Spokesperson for the Secretary-General, according to Ria News.
"We are seriously concerned over the escalation on Korean peninsula, all sides should double their diplomatic efforts," Dujarric said.
"The last launch we saw on week-end is causing concern. We call on North Korea to take all necessary steps to de-escalate situation, return to dialogue regarding denuclearization and full implementation of UN Security Council resolutions," he noted.
As it was reported, DPRK and US exchanged a number of aggressive statements recently. North Korea warned that it will respond to the possible American nuclear strike by its own, Trump also promised once again to solve DPRK issue and send fleet to Korean peninsula.
