UN, EU, European Parliament urge Ukraine to look into Belarusian activist's death

The UN has called on Ukraine to conduct a thorough investigation into the death of Belarusian opposition activist Vitaliy Shishov who chaired the NGO called Belarusian House in Ukraine. 

DW quoted the UN OHCHR, which stated that intimidation of civil society in Belarus must be stopped. The Office also claimed it "has not seen" yet any relation between the death of Belarusian activist and the assault of Aleksander Lukashenko's regime on the opposition.

Top EU diplomat Josep Borrell claimed he was "shocked" at the message about the death of Belarusian opposition figure. 

Viola von Cramon, the deputy head of the European Parliament delegation in association with Ukraine also commented on the tragedy.
