Ukrainian state defense concern Ukroboronprom will supply its engines for the vessels of the Indian Navy. The press office of Ukroboronprom reported that on September 8. 

"State Defense Enterprise Zorya-Mashproekt, which is a part of Ukrooboronprom signed a contract with Indian company Goa Shipyard Limited so as to supply two modern aggregates M7H2 for the needs of the Navy of this country", reads the message.

M7H2 gas turbine turbo power units include the modernized microchip control systems; their power output is 58,000 HP, with the opportunity to develop the speed of 30 knots.

The Ukrainian engines will be set on new multi-role frigates that are soon to be built in the Indian shipyard. According to the agreement, the first engine is supposed to be ready in December 2022, the second in July 2023.

Within the last two weeks, Zorya-Mashproekt made contracts with Indian contractors by total worth of USD 100 million.

Goa Shipyard Limited is a state shipbuilding company located on India's west coast.
