Next year, Ukroboronprom state concern will be eliminated as an entity. Yuriy Husev, the newly appointed General Director of Ukraine's largest defense enterprise said so during the briefing on Thursday, December 3.
According to him, the government will create two holdings, Defensive Systems of Ukraine and Aerospace Systems.
Husev explained that the new holdings will be working based on corporate management, transparency, to avoid any corruption-related or other risks. The new holdings will comprise companies performing aircraft maintenance works, armored vehicle services, as well as those dealing with precision weaponry, ammunition, radar equipment, and naval systems.
Earlier, Ukraine's state-run defense concern Ukroboronprom claimed that there were facts of internal sabotage among the staff of Antonov aircraft plant. Ukroboronprom's Acting Director-General Ihor Fomenko said so as quoted by 112.ua's correspondent.
These facts became known thanks to the forensic audit conducted by Ernst&Young company; French government provided the grant funds to get the research done. Having considered the results of the audit, Ukroboronprom's management assumes that Ukraine's law enforcers should assess the situation next.
