Ukranian guide detained on the charge of arms sales

Russian Police detained Serhei Bahaichuk, a guide from Rivne at the railway station in Moscow. He is accused of arms sale. Roman Sushchenko, a public defender of the Ukrainian reporter claimed this, as Hromadske reports.

The Ukrainian was detained on July 11. Currently, he is at Lefertovo pre-trial detention facility.

According to him, Russian security forces detained Bahaichuk at the railway station in Moscow. He is accused of transportation and sells of arms in Russia.

‘He was caught red-handed. The case is based on the testimony of two unknown Russians,’ the defender noted.

Feygin explained that these two citizens claim that Bahaichuk allegedly was selling them weapons, in particular, Glock 19 and barrels to Makarov pistols.

The court has chosen a measure for the Ukrainian in the form of detention for two months. Currently, he is at Lefertovo pre-trial detention facility.

According to Feygin, Bahaichuk pleads not guilty.

As it was reported earlier, Mark Feygin was deprived of the status of a lawyer but he was allowed to the process of the Ukrainian journalist Roman Sushchenko, illegally detained in Russia, as a public defender.
