Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal stated that Ukrainians would have to face tough times in winter. He said this during a report in the Verkhovna Rada, the online broadcast was conducted by 112 Ukraine TV channel.
"I am not going to embellish the situation. Challenging times await us this winter, so I want to announce that we are working on most of the measures prescribed in the Verkhovna Rada resolution, action plans, and development scenarios for Ukraine's economic recovery and fight against the pandemic," the PM stated.
The country's Health Ministry has instructed Chief Sanitary Doctor Viktor Lyashko to consult with businesses, the Verkhovna Rada, and mayors in order to adopt an agreed action plan which may be introduced if the tougher measures are applied.
As we reported earlier, the ‘red’ quarantine zones will remain in force.
“Moreover, nobody canceled ‘red’ zones, where the restrictions will be stricter. The motivation of the Health Ministry – is the physical interruption of the incidence chain,” the statement said.
