The Embassy of Ukraine to Belarus recommends the Ukrainian citizens to cross the Belarusian-Russian border only by air transport as the press service of the embassy reported.
According to the report, Russia banned the crossing of the border by the citizens of the third countries excluding Russians and Belarusians due to the absence of the checkpoints at the border. Also, this ban includes the members of the diplomatic, administrative and technical staff of the diplomatic missions, consular institutions and representatives of the international organizations.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia reported that the Russian side implements the border control of the aircraft that arrive in Russia from Belarus and return in backward direction since May 15.
The citizens of third countries, including the members of the diplomatic, administrative and technical staff of the diplomatic missions, consular institutions and representatives of the international organizations should use the air transport for trips on the mentioned route.
According to the Foreign Ministry of Belarus, the decision to create the checkpoints at the Belarusian-Russian part of the border was not made due to the absence of the acting agreement between Belarus and Russia and the Border Guard Service of Belarus does not control this part of the border.
The Embassy of Ukraine to Belarus recommends the Ukrainian citizens to abstain from trips connected with the crossing of the Belarusian-Russian state border or to cross it by air transport.
The Embassy draws the attention of the Ukrainian citizens at the existing terms during the planning of visits to Russia.
