Ukrainian citizens were detained in Bangladesh. This is reported by Deputy Director of the MFA Consular Services Department Vasyl Kyrylych on Twitter.

The Consul appealed to the Foreign Ministry of Bangladesh, tomorrow he will hold a meeting at the Embassy of Bangladesh in Delhi and is preparing a business trip to the country with the purpose of visiting the detained Ukrainian citizens in the prison.

According to sources, 6 Ukrainian citizens were detained in Bangladesh on suspicion of ATM robbery.

Earlier, Ukrainian, suspected of conducting illegal business, was detained in Belarus, as the website of the Belarusian Committee of State Control reported.

“The operatives of the financial police detained two lorries with apples and tomatoes (over 40 tons were seized). This was the last delivery for the group of Russian and Ukrainian traders. A criminal case was opened under the article of Ukraine’s Criminal Code on unlawful business activities. A 32-year-old Ukrainian was managing the illicit business, he was detained and imprisoned,” the message says.

In addition, the investigation on the case is underway.
