Ukrainians are highly recommended to restrain from visiting Macedonian capital city, Skopje, because of the ongoing protests. The consular service of Ukraine's Foreign Ministry tweeted that on Friday.
It is not recommended to visit Skopje downtown.
Local protesters are rallying against the election of the ethnic Albanian Talyat Jaferi as the speaker of the Macedonian Parliament. The protesters found the election of the speaker illegal and made their way inside the parliament's building. They put up a fight with the police and then, inside the building, they attacked the MPs. A few persons, including the Head of the social-democratic party Zoran Zaev, were injured.
