The Ukrainians made a pleasant impression on the British Ambassador Melinda Simmons. The diplomat called the people of Ukraine "warm and caring," the BBC writes.

"And it was here that I discovered that Ukrainians are very warm, caring people who bring a lot of food when they see that something is wrong with you. It doesn't matter what is wrong. If you sick or sad - food, tired - food. Well, I'm from a Jewish family, I understand what it's about, but…," she said.

Simmons noted that she traveled a lot in Ukraine, and there are differences everywhere: "in language, the dishes are different." However, according to her, one thing is common to all Ukrainians - "it's the warmth of the people."

Melinda Simmons called straightforwardness a funny feature of the people of Ukraine. The British ambassador was called an idiot in the Ukrainian subway. Nevertheless, she likes Ukraine.
