Ukrainian Consul appealed to the police, customs bodies and captaincy of Gibraltar. Port administration confirmed that there are citizens of Ukraine in the crew.

The local law enforcement bodies consider the members of the crew as witnesses, not offenders.

The authority of overseas U.K. territory thinks that the tanker was transporting raw oil to refinery in Syria. It is a violation of the U.K. and U.S. sanctions.
