Ukrainian top officials meet with U.S. National Security Adviser

Head of the Office of the Ukrainian President Andriy Yermak and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba held a meeting with the U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan in Washington, DC on August 4. This was reported by the press service of the Presidential Office.

"The parties discussed the preparation of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit to the United States and his meeting with the US President Joseph Biden on August 30th," the statement said.

Ukrainian and American representatives also discussed the current situation in Donbas and joint efforts in peaceful resolutions of the Russia-Ukraine military conflict.

The parties also discussed the development of the US-Ukraine strategic partnership and the achievements of Ukraine in implementing judicial and other critical reforms.

As it was reported earlier, on August 4, Kuleba and Yermak arrived in the U.S. to prepare for the upcoming visit of Volodymyr Zelensky to the United States.

The presidents of Ukraine and the United States are expected to discuss cooperation in the energy sector and Kyiv's efforts to fight corruption and implement reforms based on shared democratic values.
